Call for Pecha Kucha: the 6 selected contributions

6ᵗʰ biennale svizzera del territorio: Handle with care
October 1 - November 28, 2026
Opening October 1 - 3, 2026

Villa Saroli, Viale S. Franscini 9, Lugano

75 submissions received, 6 contributions selected: here are the results of the Call for Pecha Kucha of the 6th biennale svizzera del territorio Handle with Care.

Students and professionals from all over the world were invited to respond to a single question: how to care for what already exists?

The Selection Committee, composed of Nina Bassoli, Heike Biechteler, Sophie Delhay, Débora Mesa Molina, John Palmesino and Sascha Roesler, chose six different projects, each investigating a distinct dimension of care: ranging from natural disasters and environmental fragility to non-human perspectives; from construction techniques and material practices to cities as a field of inquiry; and from processes of transformation and reuse of the built environment to broader questions related to archives, heritage, and collective memory.

The Pecha Kucha presentations — 20 slides of 20 seconds each — will take place on 3 October at the Italian Consulate General in Lugano.
