Pietro Stolz. La casa che cresce (The House that Grows) is a solo exhibition bringing together a significant selection of works by Pietro Stolz, corresponding to different moments in his evolution as an artist. It is not, however, a retrospective: the work of this mysterious architect-craftsman is largely unknown, born in the intimate dimension of the atelier of someone who long ago integrated a craft practice into his architectural work, for the pure pleasure of giving form to the models that inhabit the mind but rarely find space in the real world. Space, dwelling as a symbolic act or as play: these are the themes of Pietro Stolz.

The exhibition is born from a sentiment shared between Pietro and his son Noah, the curator: at 92, one comes to realise that an entire universe can disappear in the blink of an eye. Hosted by the Istituto Internazionale di Architettura in the spaces of the Limonaia di Villa Saroli, the exhibition is a delicate experience, to be explored with the eyes and curiosity of a child, enriched by the dialogue between the exhibition space and the magnificent surrounding park.
